Dream Language and Symbolism – The Psychology of Dreams Reflected Into Images and Scenes

By Christina Sponias

The dream language follows the symbolism created by the unconscious mind, which is ancient and wise.

All dream images and scenes must be translated according to the psychology of the unconscious, which reflects your own behavior into images and scenes, or gives you information about crucial points of your external reality that can affect your mental health.

Everyone and everything in your dreams have a symbolic meaning, totally different from the meaning they have in your waking reality, or sometimes quite similar, depending on the unconscious intention.

You cannot define anything based on your opinion, but you have to learn how the unconscious mind defines the images and scenes it uses in order to send you secret messages, because it is the dream producer, and at the same time, your psychiatrist and teacher.

All dreams work like psychotherapy for your human conscience, helping it fight against the wild side of your conscience, which is violent, immoral and cruel like all wild animals, and must be tamed by your sensibility and sensitivity.

You have to study the dream language the same way you study any foreign language, so that you may learn how to instantly translate dream images and scenes into words and sentences that make sense for you.

By using confused images that make no sense to your conscience, the unconscious mind hides its messages from your wild side, which would distort them if it could understand them. You represent your human side, which can learn the symbolic dream language like a student, while the anti-conscience, your wild side, refuses to learn anything, since it only wants to be a wild animal, without making any effort in life.

However, this animal that exists inside you is part of your personality, and influences your behavior. It is your primitive self, which has to pass through the same process of development that your human side passed through, but that refuses to respect rules, and obey directions.

The unconscious mind keeps sending you warnings in dreams in order to protect you, showing you for example that you are being too influenced by the anti-conscience when you are near your mother in a dream.

In your waking life your mother is a person who loves you and protects you, while in your dreams, she is your worst enemy, because she represents your primitive conscience.

According to the dream logic, the mother represents the chaotic beginning of everything, without any organization, and the lack of organization can only provoke disasters. This is why your mother in dreams has a negative meaning.

On the other hand, you may see a dream in which your nose is bleeding, which has a positive meaning, while in your waking life, a bleeding nose means trouble.

Your nose in dreams represents your pride, and pride is very dangerous, because it feeds your ego, leading you to craziness and despair. Therefore, when your nose is bleeding in a dream, this means that you are losing your pride, and becoming humble, probably because you’ve had an important moral lesson.

The psychology of dreams is based on the necessity to increase your intelligence and transform your behavior, by opening your eyes, and giving you more consciousness.

Christina Sponias continued Carl Jung’s research into the human psyche, discovering the cure for all mental illnesses, and simplifying the scientific method of dream interpretation that teaches you how to exactly translate the meaning of your dreams, so that you can find health, wisdom and happiness.
